When you start a new business, you have an endless to-do list, from deciding your business name and legal structure to purchasing licenses, ways of working, roles and responsibilities and figuring out your business banking. As a business owner, there are many things you need to have in order just to get started.

The biggest challenge is that you don't know what you don't know. My wife and I are active learners and prefer to learn by doing, which can often cost you a little more that you'd perhaps like to spend.

We started our sweet business over the Christmas period 2020. For us, this was an opportunity to understand what option were available to us. Initially, we set ourselves a budget and a rough outline of the products we wanted to sell. Firstly we decided to sell through Facebook, creating a business page, speaking to friends, getting feedback on our ideas.
